My garden

I'm picking tomatoes, peas, green beans and zucchini so far. The peppers and the cucumber aren't ready yet. In the planter there are strawberries too. yummy! My water bill is high. It needs to rain here.

It took a long time and a lot of work but this is what the front/side of the house looks like now.
The fence was the first thing we replaced and then we bought a LOT of sand and patio stones, and made a walkway. The walkway goes all the way to the patio in the back. We made an extension to the patio with the stones. I still have more planting to do behind that gate, but the front is finished. YEAH!

What to do with leftovers.

Well, we finished our walkway and we ended up with a HUGE bag of sand when we were done. We over estimated. So what do you do when you have a lot of sand: BUILD THE KIDS A SAND BOX! Brent used leftover wood from building the fence, and pieces of tarp to make a cover. The kids love it. Brent rocks!
